Hello, my name is Kassandra, and it's nice to *virtually* meet you. I'm currently a third-year MD student and am passionate about tutoring and mentorship. I started college when I was 15, and since then have had many academic accomplishments including my first publication at 18, appointment to my university admissions council, election as class president, and selection as a clinical research fellow at the #1 hospital in the US. I have been tutoring since I was 16 in various subjects with a focus on writing and reading, I do tutor ACT reading, ACT writing, USMLE Step 1, Public Speaking, and Personal Statement review/proofreading.

I am asked to perform 5-8 public speaking engagements a year and feel confident in being able to guide students to perform at their optimal level in their personal life in this regards. I created my own mentorship program in 2018 and since then have successfully tutored and mentored 10 underrepresented students through ACT prep, college applications, and personal statement review. In addition, I have already had my first-round of mentees applying to medical school which consisted of MCAT prep, personal statement review, and proofreading. My strengths lie in helping my mentees narrow in on what their goals are, and being able to help them make consistent, achievable, and timely goals to reach that point. I do have exemplary writing skills which assists my students as they're creating their personal statements.

Overall, I have worked very hard in my life to be the best in whatever it was that I did. This allowed me high scores in both the ACT and MCAT. I do have an affinity for writing which is an asset to every student that I work with. I see a mentee/mentor relationship as a partnership and as we work through uncovering what it is that you need to do in order to accomplish your goals, I will support, guide, and train you along the way.
