Hi there, welcome to my page! I'm Molly, and I graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Nutrition. After some deep reflection, I realized my passion lies in writing and digital creation, which lead me to enrolling for a Journalism Master's of Arts program beginning in September 2025.
My English and Writing experience includes managing and writing for my personal Travel Blog, competing at High School Speech Tournaments (Great Speeches) for three years, and excelling in my University Writing and Public Speaking Intensive courses. Additionally, I was a Yearbook Editor for two years, and a Social Media Editor and Arts & Entertainment Columnist for my School Newspaper for three years. I also wrote and delivered my High School commencement speech to a crowd of 500+ attendees.
While my professional interest lies in Writing and Public Speaking, I have an extensive background teaching all subjects both in the classroom, and informal settings. As a Substitute Special Education K-8 Paraprofessional, I worked one on one with students of all abilities in the subjects of Math, Science, History and English. Other previous positions include: Preschool Teacher, University Nutrition Peer Counselor, K-8 Summer Camp Counselor, 8th Grade Volleyball and Basketball Coach, K-5 Classroom Aid, Babysitter/Nanny, and Yoga Teacher. Lastly, I have casually taught English as a Second Language to adults while I was volunteering in Ireland and Scotland for six months. As I have worked with ages ranging from Preschool to College/Adult, I am very flexible with curriculum and subjects.
As a tutor, I like to keep things joyful and relaxed, while making sure learning is both fun and effective for you. My goal is to build your confidence and skills based on your individual interests and needs.
