My name is Lauren and I am excited to get started with tutoring you or your child. I graduated magna cum laude from Furman University in South Carolina with a BA in theatre arts and a BS in neuroscience. I have a Masters of Art from NYU and a Masters of Science from U of L. I have a background in education with seven years of experience working most extensively with elementary and middle school aged children. I have also offered peer tutoring, essay grading, and test prep at the high school and college level. I am flexible, hard working, and committed to education.

I have a great deal of experience with early literacy, reading, storytelling, writing, and vocabulary building. I have worked as a preschool teacher and a teaching assistant in several elementary school settings. Additionally, I am skilled in helping older students with SAT test prep, as well as subjects as variegated as Biology, English, Math, and History. I received a 760 on my SAT reading and a 780 on my SAT writing in 2013, as well as a 34 on my ACT. I also scored in at least the 90th percentile in all three GRE subjects, including a perfect score on my writing.

Awesome teacher!

Lauren helped my 12 year old with a science project. I had a couple of undergraduate papers and a course (Cognitive & neuropsychology) that I needed help in understanding. Lauren did a brilliant job identifying exactly what I was having trouble in.
