I have a Master of Science in Ecosystem Science and Management from the University of Michigan, and a B.S. in Biology from Grand Valley State University. My educational background includes concepts in ecology, conservation biology, botany, genetics, cell and molecular biology, chemistry, soil and forest ecology, anatomy, and microbiology; I have a well-rounded understanding of many natural science concepts. My professional work has allowed me to develop strong skills in technical writing and public speaking. My formal teaching experience includes teaching conceptual conservation and professional lessons to high schoolers in a virtual online internship program. I taught the conceptual lessons to the entire class (~30 students), and the professional lessons and feedback were one-on-one. I also served as a Graduate Student Assistant in grad school, where I graded and provided feedback on 83 grad students' essays, presentations, and discussion posts.
