Joshua B.

Joshua B., M.S., has taught both high school and university physics for over 30 years, and was voted Michigan High School Science Teacher of the Year by the Michigan Science Teachers Association in 2016. He has the unique and exceptional skills needed to help you or your student succeed in University or High School Physics, regardless of any prior experience or challenges.

Joshua has taught a wide range of physics and other science courses at university and high school settings. After teaching Physics laboratories at Eastern Michigan University, Joshua taught AP Physics C, AP Physics 1 & 2, Honors Physics, General Physics, Physical Science and Environmental Science at West Bloomfield High School, in West Bloomfield Michigan. He has also taught university Astronomy at Washtenaw Community College, and has privately tutored both students and teachers in physics since 1992. Joshua is exceptionally skilled at reaching all levels of students, especially students who need more support and guidance to get through challenging subjects.

Joshua has created over 250 lecture videos covering topics in high school and university science.

Of the nearly eight hundred total AP Physics exams taken by Mr. B’s students, the most common score is 5/5, with a median score of 4/5. Joshua credits this excellent record to his mastery learning philosophy, challenging students to go beyond their perceived limitations, and methodical use of educational technology, gamification, simulations, animations, demos, examples, and especially lots of good humor and patience.
