I have recently retired after more than 30 years as an engineer for Ford Motor Company. After graduation from Michigan State University i briefly taught high school science, having earned a B.S. degree in Chemistry, a minor in mathematics and a Provisional Secondary Education Teaching Certification. In the seven or so years that followed i work in industrial laboratories as a chemist, technical sales and service and substitute teaching. I began my career with Ford in 1984 in a variety of engineering/technical position with a strong emphasis in environmental regulatory compliance. I retired effective January 1, 2015.
My career at Ford reinforced my science and mathematics expertise. I have always enjoyed learning and teaching others. Many times i developed and presented training session in a variety of areas for team members. In addition I assisted my three sons, now grown, in their science and mathematics studies.
I have always wanted to go back to teaching and feel this is a great opportunity to fulfill that goal.
ACT math, pre-algebra, algebra 1, algebra 2, geometry, SAT math, basic mathematics, physical science and chemistry.
I am eager to begin helping those who are in need of tutoring assistance in these mathematics and science areas! Please feel free to contact me--I am looking forward to hearing from you!
