I am a fourth-year medical student at Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine with a strong academic background and a passion for teaching. I have experience tutoring students from middle school through medical school in subjects including math, science, biology, chemistry, anatomy, physiology, and test preparation. I recently scored 90th percentile on the USMLE Step 2 CK, reflecting my ability to master complex material and develop effective study strategies.
Throughout medical school, teaching has been one of the most rewarding parts of my training. I served as the Lead Tutor for my medical school's Academic and Foundational Concepts Program, where I coordinated a team of more than 20 tutors and provided individualized instruction to medical students. I have also worked with middle school, high school, and college students through one-on-one tutoring and small-group teaching, helping students strengthen their understanding, improve performance, and build confidence.
My tutoring approach focuses on identifying each student's unique learning style and creating a personalized plan to help them succeed. I believe in breaking down challenging concepts into manageable pieces, emphasizing understanding over memorization, and teaching students strategies they can apply independently. My sessions incorporate active learning, practice questions, visual explanations, and real-world examples to make difficult topics more approachable. I strive to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing the confidence needed to reach their academic goals.
