I'm Ben! I discovered my love for teaching after doing some volunteer coaching and realizing the joy I found in helping others succeed. I graduated with honors from the University of Michigan with a degree in Music Education. My expertise does not stop at the arts, however. I have taught a variety of subjects in both one-on-one and group settings. I also have experience in special education classrooms where I have worked with neurodivergent students as well as students with learning disabilities. I have a love of learning that I strive to impart onto my students. My goal is to make it fun! I love my job and seeing how much happiness that even the smallest of successes can bring to a student's face. I have an affinity for using a student's interests to help teach them and put it into terms they can remember.
My areas of expertise include: Elementary students, students with learning disabilities, neurodivergent students, Saxophone and Upright Bass lessons, History, English and Music Theory. Feel free to contact me to ask any questions or to schedule a lesson!
