My Bio details how I have worked professionally as a qualified educator with every grade from Kindergarten through 12th grade and beyond, my years of experience working with adults as well, as a performer, teacher and musical director/conductor. In addition, my extensive knowledge of church music - both traditional and contemporary worship styles. My undergraduate studies were at a Christian University. I have a deep respect and reverence for students who want their contributions in Worship to be the very best possible.
Many of my voice students have gone on to become professional musicians, music teachers and composers. I am proud to say that nearly all were successful at competitions and auditions for Musical Theater productions, college vocal auditions and competitions.
Other students with more personal goals (to become better singers, gain confidence, learn healthy voice techniques and appreciation for songs) were also successful and found growth, confidence and enjoyment. developing the ability to connect with music using an instrument so unique because it includes language and cannot be put away in a case.
I am also ready to help with reading and writing music, music theory, music history and vocal coaching as well as helping students jump that hurdle from wishing they could to actually playing the piano! I have a very personal approach with the aim of building confidence in skills, sharing the sense of accomplishment, and the enjoyment of music and all its facets.
