Hello! My name is Ian and I am happy you chose to read a little bit about me! I graduated from the University of Michigan-Dearborn with a degree in Secondary Education. As a working educator, I thoroughly enjoyed inspiring students and helping them achieve all of their personal and academic goals. I worked at a few of Michigan's top public schools and was encouraged to teach a talented group of tenth graders an accelerated world history course over the summer.

As an undergraduate student, I pledged Phi Sigma Phi National Fraternity and was also inducted into the National Society of Leadership and Success. I was active throughout the community engaging in many hours of community service and participated in several community outreach events.

Following graduation from UofM (GO BLUE!) I pursued an MBA from Wayne State University. My concentration was in Information Systems Management with a focus on coding and software development. My former professor, Dr. Heinrichs, can attest to my computer competency as I had the good fortune of working alongside him while taking a pilot course titled "Software Development using Swift."

One of my many natural talents is in learning how to read, write, and speak more than one world language. In fact, I am a self-proclaimed trilingual; I am near fluent in reading, writing, and speaking Spanish and Hebrew.

Throughout my life, I have had the blessing of being both a national and an international traveler. I always feel empowered to look at life in a positive light and encouraged to approach new experiences with an open mind whenever I travel to underdeveloped nations or unfamiliar places.

My bucket list is quite extensive of things that I would like to try or perform at some point in my life. The two most preferred things to do on my bucket list are: (1) travel to the Kalahari Desert and go on a private safari tour and (2) scuba dive with sharks in Australia’s Great Barrier Reef.

Algebra 1

I have over six years of tutoring experience helping students master Algebra 1 concepts such as linear equations, systems of equations, quadratic functions, polynomials, exponents, and inequalities. I hold a degree in Secondary Education from the University of Michigan–Dearborn and a Master’s in Business Administration and Management from Wayne State University, which have strengthened both my mathematical and instructional expertise. In addition to my formal education, I’ve worked with hundreds of students through Omega Tutoring and national platforms like TutorMe (Pear Deck Tutoring) and Varsity Tutors, consistently helping students improve their confidence and performance in math. My approach focuses on making algebra engaging, relatable, and easy to understand by connecting abstract concepts to real-world applications. Whether a student is catching up, preparing for exams, or aiming to excel beyond grade level, I provide personalized, step-by-step guidance that builds lasting comprehension and problem-solving skills.
