Hi! My name is Ash, and I am currently an engineering student at Johns Hopkins University with a strong background in mathematics, physics, and problem solving. I tutor students ranging from elementary school through high school and introductory college-level coursework, including Algebra, Geometry, Calculus, Physics, SAT Math, and foundational reading and math skills. I also scored a perfect 800 on the SAT Math section. While I may be new to Wyzant, I have over 3 years of tutoring experience helping students improve academically and build confidence in challenging subjects.

My teaching approach focuses on creating a supportive and engaging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning from mistakes. Rather than simply giving answers, I guide students step-by-step through the reasoning and problem-solving process so they can build confidence and learn how to solve similar problems independently. I adapt each lesson to the student’s learning style, pace, and goals to make sessions as effective and personalized as possible.
