Hi! My name is Aman. I graduated from the University of Michigan–Ann Arbor with a Bachelor of Science in Biopsychology, Cognition, and Neuroscience. I have a strong passion for both learning and teaching, and I enjoy helping students build confidence in their academic abilities.
I have experience tutoring elementary and high school students in Math and English in both one-on-one and small-group settings. My tutoring background includes working with students of varying skill levels and adapting lessons to meet their individual needs.
My teaching approach begins with assessing each student’s strengths, challenges, and learning goals. From there, I break down concepts into manageable steps, reinforce understanding through guided practice and multiple examples, and ensure students grasp key formulas and ideas before applying them to broader lessons. This method helps students build a strong foundation and connect individual concepts to the overall subject matter.
As a former student, I understand the importance of encouragement and patience in academic success. I strive to create a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning at their own pace. My goal is to meet students at their current level and help them progress with confidence.
Ultimately, my objective as a tutor is for each student to leave sessions with a clearer understanding of the material and the tools needed to succeed independently. I welcome feedback and continuously seek ways to improve my teaching to better support my students.
