I began my music career in 1985 at Berklee College of Music. I continued my music education at Western Michigan University and Wayne State University. I play guitar, piano, bass, drums, vocals and expert in all aspects of music theory and style. I have been a music instructor for 35 years.

Scott is a great teacher and makes the lessons fun, and the practice though challenging have noticeable outcomes and make you want to progress further. Hopefully with time and Scotts lessons I will finally get past the hurdle. Learning a instrument should be an education but not torture, and Scott makes it both fun but you see progress which keeps you motivated to learn more.

Greatest amount of knowledge for your money.
Scott has a plan and his plan is to listen to what you need and he will shape everything around with that is. He is super knowledgeable about everything and great to talk to and jam with. I play guitar so Scott and I are going over a little bit more complex things and I can pick up things pretty quickly, but he also mad sure I didn't miss the basics while also not wasting my time teaching me anything he knew I didn't need to know based off the information and goals I gave him. My only worry with putting out a review telling how great he is is that he will end up getting hundreds of people having lessons with him and then he won't have enough time for me. I would like to think, after only my third lesson, that Scott actually does form wonderful relationships with his students and wouldn't ever give someone the full attention they need. this guy is a hidden gem. Like I said you couldn't find someone with more knowledge and a personality like this for a better price. After THREE sessions he has already helped me with my accountability, scheduling practice and overall guitar skills more than I have been able to do on my own.. These last 3 weeks with have would have probably amounted to 3-6 months working on my own or with any other tutor. Don't be a fool, let Scott take you to school!

Awesome teacher!
My first lesson with Scott was great, we talked about where I wanted to start and what felt like I needed help with and based on what I explained he managed to help me a lot in just the 1 hour! Definitely looking forward to our future lessons. Scott explained everything in a very understandable manner that was easy to grasp. We practiced everything we went over and was taught ways I can apply it and how I can practice on my own time. EXCELLENT teacher, I would highly recommend.

i had a fantastic time at my first lesson. I didn’t want something so intense and focused on becoming a professional guitarist. i just wanted to have some fun learning how to play just because i love music and to make it is even more incredible. the lesson was incredibly informative- i feel i learned a lot in one session! you can tell he loves music and just wants to share that gift with other people. very excited for my next lesson.
