I came to education as a second career and always enjoy seeing the light bulb go on when understanding reaches the student. I look for ways to reach each student where they are, and take them to where they want to go. A lifetime of experience in business and education, I have a good background in many basic studies. I have been a classroom teacher in robotics and social studies and have been a learning lab teacher and supervisor for all subjects in a computer and adult education...

Great Tutor, the absolute best that I have encountered so far.

Jeff was the absolute best. He explained things well and was extremely easy to talk to. He was very knowledgeable on the material and had a lot of hands on experience. He helps, like a tutor should and does not lecture. I had a tutor for this same subject last week, and she was an absolute nightmare. I really feel like I can learn a lot and will benefit tremendously from Jeff. Needless to say, I highly recommend Jeff and look forward to working with him.

Wasted Time and Money

My session wasn't very productive and the help I received was incorrect which caused me to have to spend more time on my own correcting the error and redoing the work we had done during the session. I felt after paying for 2 hour session and having to correct errors was wasted time and money that I didn't have to spare.

Tutor responded:

I am sorry you feel the time was wasted, but the time you spent attempting to get printouts, connecting to your school portal, etc. was not due to my help. You need to stay focused and based on the work we did on the process of deriving solutions, you were able to successfully complete your paper. As a tutor, my role is to help you figure things out, which it seems you were able to do quite successfully. Next time, try to send your tutor material you want to work on in advance and follow through on inquiries to the instructor as to her particular wants. I wish you all the best in your educational career. Jeff
