I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and Philosophy, as well as a Master’s degree in Linguistics. My academic journey has cultivated a deep love for logical thinking, problem-solving, and language, which I bring into my teaching. These areas of study have provided me with a unique interdisciplinary perspective that enriches the way I approach both math and language instruction.
With over ten years of teaching experience, I have taughthigh school students in Latin and mathematics in small private school settings. Beyond the classroom, I’ve tutored students in math and helped them prepare for standardized tests like the SAT and ACT. My teaching experience also includes teaching English online to children in China. This diverse background has equipped me with the skills to work with students of varying abilities and learning styles.
As a patient and encouraging educator, I believe in fostering a supportive environment where students feel confident to explore and grow. My teaching philosophy centers on the Socratic method, encouraging students to actively engage with material through guided questioning. This approach helps students not only master the content but also develop critical thinking skills and a sense of ownership over their learning journey. My ultimate goal is to inspire students to reach their potential and discover joy in learning.
