I have experience with many forms of photography. I can tutor basic black and white photography which includes learning how light reacts with the camera and is recorded on film, aperture, shutter speed and metering and how to scan in and digitally edit film using Photoshop. Advanced black and white involving more challenging lighting situations; back lighting, metering in a 2 step process. Advanced Photoshop editing, curve adjustment, High Dynamic Range (HDR) images and how to restore and digitally manipulate images to create one image. I can also tutor color photography for people with digital cameras (any types from point and shoot to professional cameras) who are just starting out or are advanced digital users. This includes understanding different lighting and it's color temperature, metering mixed lighting situations, color correction in camera and in Photoshop. For those without a black and white background I can teach them the basics of photography; shutter speed, aperture, shooting modes, flash photography, studio lighting and proper camera and lens cleaning and care. I can also help those that may be struggling with a large project for school or personal. Whether it maybe to get them inspired to start or finishing their project to give it a professional touch. I am more than willing to customize the teaching plan with a student for whatever they may need. I am most comfortable tutoring these types of photography: black and white, color, digital, manual (film), color correction, printing, scanning, finishing (matting, framing, etc.), nature, portraits, photojournalism, wedding photography, commercial and creative problem solving.
