I earned my Bachelor’s degree from Ferris State University in 2020 and am currently in my sixth year of teaching high school social studies in the Metro Detroit area. I recently completed my Master’s degree in Integrated Curriculum Design and Instruction from the American College of Education in 2025.
My instructional approach emphasizes more than memorization—I help students develop deep conceptual understanding and apply what they learn to real-world contexts. Whether preparing for exams or building long-term academic skills, I focus on strategies that improve comprehension, critical thinking, and student confidence.
Throughout my teaching career, I have taught IB, AP, and on-level courses across multiple social studies disciplines. I have taught AP U.S. Government and Politics for five years, with my students consistently earning scores above both state and national averages. During the 2025–2026 school year, I launched an IB Global Politics course, where students examine global issues through key thematic lenses and develop strong analytical and discussion skills.
Additional courses I have taught include On-Level Economics, U.S. History, U.S. Government, and IB History. I am passionate about helping students succeed academically while developing the skills they need to think critically about the world around them.
