Three+ years of math and science/engineering teaching/tutoring

Hi, I am Steve. I graduated university with three bachelor degrees in Physics, electrical engineering and engineering physics with honors in Tau Beta Pi, a national engineering honors society. I am an experienced tutor with over 3+ years teaching/tutoring experience in math, science and engineering. The class sizes I have experience with is typically 1:1 and groups of approximately 5-10 students. I have experienced tutoring with about 75 percent of students that were in high school and/or college with the approximate remainder of 25 percent of students being middle school and a few elementary students. I am passionate about math, science and engineering, and am dedicated to helping others experience the same success as I have had in courses being taught. My approach to tutoring is to create personalized lesson plans that help the student not only pass the course, but also retain the information for future courses and future employment. I also work through individual problems for the course that the student may have so that the student fully understands concepts and develops correct problem solving skills to complete the course successfully. Engaging the students so that they can succeed in their course work is my number one priority.

Math, science and engineering is very HARD! As with anything, the more you practice, the better you will become at that skill. It is almost always easier to become skilled at something when you get help from someone with experience. My goal as your tutor is to guide you to the correct answer for the subjects being taught while also giving you the tools for you to work through the problems covered on your exam. I am dedicated to making sure you understand the material. I look forward to our lesson together.
