Hi! My name is Aaron, and I am a recent college graduate with a degree in Biomedical Sciences, graduating summa cum laude with a 3.95 GPA and completing my university’s honors college program. I specialize in tutoring STEM subjects, including biology, chemistry, and physics, as well as DAT and ACT preparation. I earned a 35 composite ACT score and a 24 Academic Average (24 Total Science, 25 PAT) on the Dental Admission Test (DAT), placing me above the 90th percentile among test takers.

I have extensive tutoring experience in STEM subjects as well as standardized test preparation. While in college, I worked as a peer tutor in biology, chemistry, and physics, helping students understand challenging concepts and develop more effective study techniques. I also served as a Supplemental Instruction Leader for Organic Chemistry and Anatomy & Physiology, where I led group review sessions and focused on making complex material less intimidating and more digestible. In addition to my formal tutoring experience, I have helped several pre-dental students prepare for the DAT by developing study plans, reviewing content, and sharing test-taking strategies.

Alongside my college tutoring experience, I have volunteered in educational and mentorship settings working with K–12 students from a wide range of academic backgrounds, including students from underserved communities and those who needed additional academic support. In addition, I have worked with youth with special needs, which strengthened my ability to be flexible and adapt my teaching style to each student's pace.

My tutoring approach focuses on building true understanding rather than memorization. I aim to create a supportive, low-pressure environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and working through mistakes. Whether you're preparing for the DAT or ACT, working through a challenging science course, or looking to strengthen your study skills, I would be happy to help you reach your academic goals.

Approved Subjects

ACT English

ACT English

I earned a 36 on the English section of the ACT and have extensive experience helping students prepare for standardized tests. I focus on grammar, sentence structure, punctuation, rhetorical skills, and identifying pattens in ACT-style questions. This approach of emphasizing understanding and pattern identification helps students much more than memorizing grammatical rules.
ACT Reading

ACT Reading

I earned a 36 on the Reading section of the ACT, and have experience helping students prepare for standardized testing. Focusing on reading comprehension, identifying key information quickly, and developing strategies for managing time constraints of the ACT, I help many students improve their confidence and knowledge in reading.
Algebra 1

Algebra 1

I earned an A in Algebra 1 in high school and have continued using algebra extensively throughout my college-level science coursework. My Biomedical Sciences degree required frequent application of algebraic concepts to chemistry, physics, biology, and quantitative problem-solving. As a tutor, I have experience helping students work through mathematical problems step by step and develop a stronger understanding of the underlying concepts
Algebra 2

Algebra 2

I earned an A in Algebra 2 in high school and have continued applying algebra extensively throughout my college STEM coursework. As a peer tutor, I focus on helping students understand the reasoning behind each step rather than simply memorizing procedures.
Biochemistry

Biochemistry

I earned A's in both Biochemistry I and II as part of my Biomedical Sciences degree, graduating summa cum laude with a 3.95 GPA. My coursework gave me extensive experience with metabolism, enzymes, proteins, molecular biology, and other core biochemical concepts. I enjoy breaking down complex processes into simpler pieces and helping students understand how concepts connect.
Biology

Biology

I graduated summa cum laude with a degree in Biomedical Sciences, completing numerous Biology courses with extensive experience studying biological sciences. I worked as a peer tutor for Biology, helping students understand challenging concepts, prepare for exams, and develop effective study strategies. I also served as a Supplemental Instruction Leader for Anatomy & Physiology, leading group review sessions and helping students connect complex biological concepts.
Chemistry

Chemistry

I earned A's in both General Chemistry I and II and have extensive experience tutoring college-level chemistry. As a peer tutor, I helped students understand challenging concepts, work through problems, and prepare for exams. I focus on helping students understand the reasoning behind calculations and chemical concepts rather than relying solely on memorization.
DAT (Dental)

DAT (Dental)

I scored a 24 Academic Average (24 Total Science, 25 PAT) on the Dental Admission Test (DAT), with strong performance in biology, general chemistry, organic chemistry, and perceptual ability. I currently help several pre-dental students prepare for the DAT by reviewing content, developing study plans, and guiding test-taking strategies. My background in Biomedical Sciences and experience tutoring college-level biology, chemistry, and physics allows me to break down complex scientific concepts in a clear and structured way. I focus on helping students build both content mastery and efficient problem-solving strategies for exam success.
Organic Chemistry

Organic Chemistry

I earned A's in both Organic Chemistry I and II and served as a Teaching Assistant for Organic Chemistry II. I have experience helping students understand challenging reactions, mechanisms, structures, and problem-solving strategies. I focus on explaining the reasoning behind organic chemistry rather than relying solely on memorization.
Physics

Physics

I earned A's in both Physics I and II and have experience tutoring college-level physics. I tutored Physics I and also worked as a paid Study Group Leader through my university's academic success program, leading students through problems and helping them prepare for exams. I focus on breaking down complicated problems into manageable steps and helping students understand the principles behind the equations.
