Hi, I'm Matthew! I have a Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics and am currently a mathematics professor in Michigan. I have 10+ years of experience in college classroom teaching (undergraduate and graduate level) and have also extensively tutored high school and college mathematics. My research is in the modeling of biochemical reaction systems (e.g. gene regulatory networks, signal transduction pathways) where I put knowledge from calculus, linear algebra, differential equations and many other areas...

Hi, I'm Matthew! I have a Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics and am currently a mathematics professor in Michigan. I have 10+ years of experience in college classroom teaching (undergraduate and graduate level) and have also extensively tutored high school and college mathematics. My research is in the modeling of biochemical reaction systems (e.g. gene regulatory networks, signal transduction pathways) where I put knowledge from calculus, linear algebra, differential equations and many other areas of mathematics into practice!

I strongly believe that everyone can succeed in mathematics with the right mindset. For me, mathematics is about making connections. It is not about memorizing formulas and theorems but about seeing where these results fit into the larger picture. This can really be brought to life in one-on-one tutoring sessions. No matter where you are at in your studies, I am happy to meet you where you are and share with you some of my excitement for mathematics.
