Hello! My name is Aneta. I am native Czech speaker, originally from Liberec, near Prague, Czech Republic.
I graduated with a Master's degree in Teaching German as a Second Language. Following this, I have lived and studied two semesters German Studies at Johann Wolfgang Goethe Universität in Frankfurt, Germany. In Czech Republic I have taught and tutored German and Czech at all levels from elementary school through to graduate-level study, from absolute beginner to highly proficient. I have experience with individual and small group instruction for general language skills and more targeted uses, such as business German.
In 2014 our family moved to Shanghai, China where I have tutored individual German classes to Chinese students. Two years later we moved to the US. Since then I have regularly taught and tutored part time. I love to teach and would like to pass on my passion for languages to others.
Since culture, tradition, and history are important in the study of a language, I place a great deal of importance on mastering the comprehensive skills: reading, writing, and speaking. My goal is to assist every learner in becoming a good communicator because, in the end, that is what language is all about.
In addition to German, I also have a basic knowledge of French and Russian. I am open to tutoring and teaching children, teenagers, as well as adults, and I know that I can make learning German interesting and fun!
I am easy to reach and will always respond fast. Feel free to contact me with any additional questions or to schedule a lesson.
