I'm a third-year Robotics Engineering student at the University of Michigan Ann Arbor. I graduated from the International Academy (1st ranked high school in Michigan, 8th ranked high school in the United States) with both an IB Diploma and a High School Diploma, graduating with a 4.2 GPA. I also scored a 1520 on the SAT (790 Math, 730 English). My coursework at Michigan has taken me through Calculus 2, giving me a strong, current foundation in algebra, trigonometry, and calculus.

I have four years of tutoring experience across two structured programs. I spent two years at Kumon teaching both math and English, using a mastery-based, self-paced approach where students work through material step by step until a skill is fully internalized, rather than just memorized for a test. I then spent two years at Mathnasium as a math tutor, working one-on-one and in small groups with students ranging from pre-K through Calculus 1. Because I worked with such a wide age range, I learned to constantly adjust my style, using visual aids and games for younger kids, and walking older students through multi-step problems and exam strategies.
Across both roles, my approach centers on meeting students where they actually are, not where the curriculum assumes they should be. I focus on finding the specific gap in understanding rather than just re-explaining the whole topic, and I always have students explain concepts back to me in their own words before we move on. I'm patient, encouraging, and easy to reach, I welcome questions and feedback from both students and parents, and I aim for every session to leave a student more confident, not just with the right answer, but with a clearer sense of how to get there next time.
