Calculus

Calculus

I am confident tutoring calculus to any student who shows interest in this subject. During my 34 year career at Detroit Edison, I used my knowledge of calculus to perform thermal-hydraulic calculations in order to demonstrate the safe operation of the Fermi 2 Nuclear Power Plant. This working experience allowed me to bridge the gap between theory and application of mathematics (specifically calculus and differential equations). Therefore, I bring the added benefit of understanding how calculus is actually used to solve real world problems. I've spent many years sharing this experience with a variety of engineers in the nuclear industry. I have also tutored calculus to a number of high school and college students. If you need help understanding calculus, please consider me as a possible tutor. I’m sure you would have a positive learning experience and develop an appreciation for this powerful and beautiful subject.
Mechanical Engineering

Mechanical Engineering

I am a recently retired engineer with over 34 years of experience applying math to solve thermal-hydraulic problems at the Fermi 2 Nuclear Power Plant. I have been mentoring young engineers (in math and engineering) during a large portion of my career at Detroit Edison and I look forward to the opportunity of sharing my knowledge and experience to educate and motivate students interested in math, science, or engineering.
Precalculus

Precalculus

I am confident tutoring precalculus to any student who shows interest in this subject. I've spent many years sharing this experience with a variety of engineers in the nuclear industry. I have also tutored precalculus to a number of high school and college students. If you need help understanding precalculus, please consider me as a possible tutor. Trigonometry

Trigonometry

I am confident tutoring trigonometry to any student who shows interest in this subject. During my 34 year career at Detroit Edison, I used my knowledge of mathematics including trigonometry to perform thermal-hydraulic calculations in order to demonstrate the safe operation of the Fermi 2 Nuclear Power Plant. This working experience allowed me to bridge the gap between theory and application of mathematics. Therefore, I bring the added benefit of understanding how math is actually used to solve real world problems. I've spent many years sharing this experience with a variety of engineers in the nuclear industry. I have also tutored all levels of mathematics including trigonometry to a number of high school and college students.
