Since graduating, I've worked in a few different accounting roles. I worked as a Staff Accountant for Hyatt Hotels for one year before accepting another Staff Accountant position with Jabil Circuit. I worked in this position for about 2 years before being promoted to a Senior Accountant, and then accepting a position with Jabil's Business Intelligence & Analytics team.
All of the positions I've held have allowed me to gain a deeper understanding of accounting in the real world. Jabil Circuit is a fairly large manufacturing company and it has given me an opportunity to explore many areas of accounting from the most basic to the most complex.
I feel that my experience and knowledge of accounting as well and my experience in the cutting-edge area of Business Intelligence & Analytics make me a great choice for students interested in pursuing a career in Accounting or Finance as well as to those just trying to gain enough of an understanding to pass the course with a respectable grade.
