Early Childhood Educator & Literacy and Math Intervention

Hello! I am a passionate early childhood educator who believes the early years are the foundation for lifelong learning. I hold a degree in education and am currently pursuing my Master’s in Early Childhood Education with a focus on supporting children with exceptional needs. My teaching experience spans preschool classrooms in both India and Michigan, giving me a diverse perspective on child development and instructional practices.
I have worked with children ages 3–6 in classroom settings, where I focus on hands-on, play-based learning tailored to each child’s individual needs. I incorporate sensory activities, oral language development, phonological awareness, early literacy instruction, and foundational math concepts into my daily teaching. I believe children learn best when lessons are engaging, meaningful, and developmentally appropriate.
In addition, I have worked as an intervention specialist in a public elementary school, providing targeted support in both reading and math. I am familiar with structured literacy programs such as UFLI and progress monitoring tools like Acadience to track student growth. I have also used Delta Math to strengthen foundational math skills, support fluency, and build problem-solving confidence. This experience strengthened my ability to analyze assessment data, identify skill gaps, and deliver focused small-group or one-on-one instruction that leads to measurable progress.
My goal is always to create a supportive and encouraging learning environment where students feel confident and motivated. I meet each child where they are academically and emotionally, using research-based strategies to help them build strong foundations in literacy and mathematics while developing a genuine love for learning.
