I graduated in 2009 with a BA in English Literature from Michigan State University, and ever since then I have been working with, teaching, and tutoring kids from age 6 all the way to young adults. In 2015 after I had my first child, I decided to fully jump into teaching and earned my Grades 6-12 Florida Teaching Certification. I love using methods that are unique and engaging for middle schoolers, so I use a lot of online resources. The children of today have a completely different learning toolbox than we did growing up, and I pride myself on catering to that and even using it as an advantage.
The school I have had the majority of my experience in is an A+ school , and we have been teaching to the B.E.S.T. standards for the last 2 years. I am well versed in the F.A.S.T. test for reading and writing and I am excited to bridge the gap for your child of these summer months!
