Hi, I’m Brittany! I help students turn scattered ideas into clear, confident writing. My tutoring style is supportive, structured, and practical — meaning I meet students where they are, help them organize their thoughts, and guide them toward work they can feel proud of.
I specialize in academic writing, essay development, scholarship essays, college application essays, personal statements, resumes, cover letters, presentations, and career-readiness skills. I also support students with study skills, project planning, discussion board posts, and organizing assignments when everything feels overwhelming.
My background includes years of experience in youth development, nonprofit leadership, program design, college and career readiness, and instructional design. Through my work with youth-serving organizations, I have helped students build confidence, communicate their stories, prepare for opportunities, and complete meaningful academic and professional projects. I am also pursuing studies in Instructional Design and Learning Technologies, which strengthens the way I design learning experiences that are clear, accessible, and learner-centered.
My approach is not to take over a student’s work. Instead, I help students understand the assignment, build strong ideas, create an outline, improve structure, strengthen grammar and clarity, and develop their own authentic voice. Whether we are working on a scholarship essay, school paper, resume, college application, or presentation, my goal is for students to leave each session feeling more confident and less stuck.
I am especially helpful for students who say things like, “I know what I want to say, but I don’t know how to write it.” That is my sweet spot. We take the messy middle and turn it into something clear, organized, and powerful.
I look forward to helping students write with confidence, prepare for their next step, and see themselves as capable learners.
