I taught high school for 7 years in West Michigan before transitioning back to the University of Michigan (my alma mater) in 2020 where I taught undergraduate students. My last two years have been a mix between teaching courses and working as a therapist, until this fall when I transitioned to full-time therapy. I still have a heart for math and helping young people, and my unique combination of experiences provides a great environment for anyone who is struggling with a math obstacle (not many people have both math expertise and empathy, as I'm sure you've noticed). I have master's degrees in Social Work and Higher Education and a secondary mathematics teacher certification. I am also AP CollegeBoard Certified and SAT Prep Certified.
I have taught all high school math subjects, from Pre-Algebra to AP Calculus, and I have been tutoring students in all subjects for over a decade. I have many years of experience with standardized tests, such as the ACT, SAT, and GRE, and I received a perfect score on the Quantitative portion of the GRE. I have acquired/created a multitude of resources and practice materials to share with students at no extra cost. I believe that I can find something that works for everyone, and my students all say that my guidance is incredibly helpful.
My availability changes with the day of the week and semester, so just ask, and I'm sure we can work something out! Feel free to contact me with any questions or requests!
