With over thirty years of teaching and coaching experience and my current role of Title I Math Interventionist, I am enthusiastic about the opportunity to assist in the planning development and implementation of safe, appropriate and effective early childhood development programs. I currently collaborate with teachers and student advocates to build trusting, caring and supportive relationships. I am motivated to work with administrators and staff regarding parental and community involvement, curriculum development, teaching strategies and assessment and evaluation of students and programs. My background in education, combined with my strengths in collaboration, critical thinking and organization uniquely positions me to find success in this role.
With my experience as a teacher, coach and interventionist, I have a great deal of experience tutoring and offering help sessions. I am well versed in a variety of instructional strategies that provide flexibility in meeting student needs. Within small group and individual intervention, I have experience with tracking student progress at least weekly and using the data to adjust and refine the intervention accordingly. I have experience implementing online tutoring strategies that are both engaging and rewarding for students.
