Throughout college and beyond, I have worked extensively with students in a variety of tutoring and teaching settings. I tutored in Durham public schools, working one-on-one with middle and high school students in science and math, and later supported peers and younger students in college-level biology, chemistry, and pre-medical coursework. I’ve also helped students strengthen study techniques, build efficient learning systems, and improve confidence in complex scientific subjects.
My tutoring approach is structured, supportive, and tailored to each learner. I focus on helping students truly understand the underlying concepts rather than memorizing facts. I use active recall, spaced repetition, visual explanations, and problem-based learning to ensure long-term retention and stronger academic performance.
