I am a recent graduate from Grand Valley State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biochemistry with honors. I have three and a half years of tutoring experience in Organic Chemistry, Biochemistry and General Chemistry. I was also a SLA instructor and led discussions with Grand Valley student on main lecture topics helping them improve their skills. I specifically love to challenge my students when they are preparing for important tests. I have a passion for teaching Organic Chemistry because it is a very exciting puzzle to solve and practice when you get the hang of it. I have taught my students, including many pre-med students, techniques that have helped them significantly improve test scores and grades.

I had extensive laboratory experience at Grand Valley State University in the Chemistry Department and worked three consecutive summers at an immunology lab at Wayne State University. My desire to help people also includes volunteer work. I was fortunate to have the opportunity to serve as an International Service Learning Medical Aid for two weeks with fellow GVSU students in Managua, Nicaragua.

I have excelled at a full spectrum of science classes, including Organic Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, Physics, Anatomy and Physiology. My score on the Organic Chemistry ACS Test (Nationwide Standard test taken after sophomore organic chemistry) was 68/70 (97%) (100th percentile). I also received the Certificate of Excellence Most Spirited Player/ Best Attitude Award for outstanding performance and lasting contribution in Organic Chemistry, awarded by Professor Laurie Witucki, Grand Valley State University.

I am an experienced science tutor excelling in the areas of Organic Chemistry, Biochemistry, and General Chemistry.
