I am an experienced educator with 33 years of teaching in both elementary and middle school classrooms, working with students in a wide range of grade levels, abilities, and learning styles. My background includes a bachelor’s degree in education as well as a master’s degree in education, which has given me a strong foundation in instructional strategies and child development. Over the course of my career, I have taught core subjects such as reading, writing, language arts, and math, and I’ve supported students with everything from daily homework needs to long-term skill development.

My approach to tutoring is patient, structured, and highly individualized. I believe every child learns differently, and I take time to understand each student’s strengths, challenges, and unique learning profile before planning instruction. Whether a student needs help building foundational skills, catching up after setbacks, or gaining enrichment beyond the classroom, I create lessons that are engaging, achievable, and tailored to their goals. I also focus on helping students develop confidence, study skills, and strategies they can use independently long after tutoring sessions end.

I truly love working with children and have always valued the relationships I build with my students and their families. Over the years, I’ve watched countless students grow academically and personally, and being part of that progress is one of the most rewarding parts of my career. I bring positivity, encouragement, and consistency to every session, and I strive to make learning a comfortable and supportive experience. My goal is not only to help students succeed in school, but to help them discover that they can succeed—often more than they ever expected.
