About Hannah

Bio

I have been tutoring for the past three years and I absolutely love it! Teaching is my passion. I currently teach first grade and every day reminds me how much joy comes from helping students grow! Reading can be hard, and I want each student to know that I see them, believe in them, and am here to walk with them through the challenge! My biggest goal is to meet each child exactly where they are, make them feel loved and supported, and celebrate every step of their progress! I believe...

I believe learning should be exciting and fun, and I work hard to bring that energy into each tutoring session!

In my sessions, I use UFLI, a science-based phonics program that really helps unlock the “why” behind reading and spelling. So many students were never taught phonics explicitly, and that can make reading feel overwhelming. I love re-teaching phonics to older students or reviewing concepts with younger ones to give them the tools they need to succeed! I also track progress with charts so students and families can see just how much growth is happening! And of course, every session ends with a fun reward to keep kids engaged and excited to come back!

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with students of many ages and levels, from struggling readers who just need that confidence boost to strong students who want an extra challenge! No matter the need, I bring patience, encouragement, and creativity to each lesson. My ultimate goal is to make every child feel successful, confident, and inspired to keep learning!
