Wouldn't if be nice to have your teacher come to your house after school and sit across from you in your kitchen table making sure that you "get it?" Because, let's face it, a lot of the time the videos on the web are just a little too hard to understand.

Hi, my name is Jonathan. I have been a certified teacher for over 20 years now and have been tutoring privately for 22 years. I hold two Bachelor's degrees as well as a Master's degree in Quality Educational Strategies. I have taught here in Michigan as well as in Florida, England, and Mexico. I have taught every grade level from second grade up through university level, primarily focusing on math (specializing in Algebra/Algebra II and Geometry), science (Biology, Chemistry, and Astronomy), Spanish, ESOL (with TOEFL test preparation), and English/Language arts. As a seasoned teacher, I understand the challenges that students face when confronted with a subject, and it is my job to make sure that all students succeed. Together, we will create a personalized educational plan with goals and timelines to ensure that you are successful. I will be in contact with your teacher to track your progress as well as prepare for upcoming assignments and exams.

As a Spanish and English Language (ESOL) teacher, I teach using the Comprehensable Input methodology developed by Dr. Stephen Krashen. This proven method has students acquire the language instead of memorizing it. If you have ever wondered why you don't remember any Spanish from high school after taking four years of it, most likely you memorized vocabulary lists and grammar rules. This is not how people acquire language. I have been fortunate to present the Comprehensable Input methodology to other teachers at several World Language conferences in Mexico and the USA to help change how world languages are taught.
