Bio

My goal is to help students with Math, Physics, Robotics and Engineering problems. I have 8 years of tutoring students at all levels from grade school to graduate school. Subjects I have tutored include Kumon math, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, AP Calculus, Calculus 1, 2 and 3, differential equations, physics (with and without calculus) , robotics and electrical engineering.

At Kumon, I tutored a wide range of students at levels ranging from kindergarten to twelfth grade. Subjects ranged from simple addition to complex algebraic factorization, as well as introductory calculus and trigonometry. I would correct worksheets, and explain any incorrect problems to students. It was here that I first developed my problem-centered approach to tutoring.
In the Math-Science Learning Center at my university, I tutored college students in Calculus I-III, physics with and without calculus, as well as linear algebra and differential equations. If students struggled with a particular problem type, I would create simpler problems of the same variety they could solve, and work up to the necessary level of difficulty. At Varsity Tutors, I developed my techniques further while adapting them to an online environment. Here I taught all levels of mathematics up to calculus and differential equations, as well as physics, computer science and engineering topics.
My approach to tutoring is problem-centered. I will work out problems with the student during the tutoring session. To this end, I have created my own learning programs appropriate for each subject. These include interactive simulations and in the case of robotics, demonstrations. My goal is to ensure students master mathematics, physics, engineering and computer science, so I always respond to each inquiry rapidly. If you have any further questions, I am ready to answer them.

Algebra 2

At a Kumon center, I tutored students with a wide range of experience levels and ages, using a problem-solving approach.
Robotics

Robotics

During my education in electrical engineering, I developed expertise in robotics each year, as every course required improvements to a modular robot. In addition, I was involved in the administration and assessment of high-school and middle-school level robotics competitions. To this day, I continue to pursue robotics as a pastime with open-source platforms such as the Arduino. I am therefore able to tutor both the theory and laboratory practice of robotics.
