I specialize in working with students who need extra support in foundational skills (phonological awareness and phonics), fluency, comprehension, and writing skills.
In my role, I work daily with students who are below their grade level benchmark, using research-based strategies aligned with the Science of Reading. I also coach and support teachers on providing high quality reading lessons. I am skilled at analyzing student data to ensure instruction is effective and tailored to each student.
My tutoring style is supportive, structured, and highly individualized. I break skills into manageable steps through explicit instruction, modeling, and giving students plenty of guided practice so they can build confidence quickly. I also make learning engaging and positive—students leave sessions feeling successful, not frustrated.
I believe strong communication with families is key, so I provide updates and simple strategies you can use at home to support your child’s progress.
