With 26 years of experience teaching middle school, high school, and post-secondary students, I understand that every student learns differently. I tailor my tutoring to individual learning needs and often explain concepts in clearer ways than other instructors due to my extensive classroom experience. My goal is to not only assist with current assignments but also build foundational skills for future success. If I don’t have all the answers, I leverage my vast professional network to find them. When you book me, you book ME! Unlike other CAD tutors on here who farm out their tutoring sessions.

I have extensive experience with AutoCAD, Revit, Inventor, Fusion 360, and OnShape. I ensure I use the same software version as my students (PC or Mac) and stay up to date with the latest updates.

I am certified in four Project Lead The Way courses: Introduction to Engineering (IED), Principles of Engineering (POE), Engineering Essentials (EES), and Civil Engineering & Architecture (CEA). Additionally, I have presented at Autodesk University for the past two years and was honored as a Top Speaker in 2023 and 2024.

Beyond engineering and architecture, I have taught Photography, Microsoft Office Suite, OnShape, Photoshop, Laser Cutting, and 3D Printing.

I offer both local and remote tutoring via Google Meet.

Architecture

Architecture

I spent over 25 years as a high school Engineering and Architecture in Michigan. I have taught both manual Architectural Drafting and CAD, using AutoCAD and Revit (as well as HomeStyler and Lumion). Experience with Interior Design, Construction Management and other related courses tied to Architecture. I strive to help students and if I don't have all the answers, I strive to help them find the answers they might need via my vast network of colleagues and professional connections. With my 26 years in the classroom and educational degrees, I fully understand that every student learns differently and I try to match my tutoring to a student's learning needs. I have found I am often able to explain concepts in an easier to understand methods than other instructors/professors due to my classroom experience. During tutoring sessions, I try to explain what a student is doing, as well as help them through their current assignment/project. I want to provide the skills needs for future understanding and application, not just how to do that one project/assignment. I am certified in four Project Lead the way course; Introduction to Engineering (IED), Principles of Engineering (POE), Engineering Essentials (EES), and Civil Engineering and Architecture (CEA). I have also had to opportunity to present the past two years at AutoDESK University and have been honored as a Top Speaker in 2023 and 2024.

Knowledgeable and patient

Revit Office Building. Amy was excellent and had the knowledge to help me complete the project. Amy went step by step so I had a good understanding. Amy also explained some of the construction related questions I had. I recommended Amy to all in both AutoCAD and Revit.

Excellent turir

Amy is knowledgeable, resourceful, patient, and flexible. We found her for my son who is taking Autocad in highschool. She’s able to break it down in a way that is far more accessible than they do at school. I’m so happy with her!

She was so patient, informative and helpful. She was able to walk through every step with me. Made it seem really easy to understand. In one lesson I was able to grasp Inventor and become confident.
