I hold an Associate’s degree in Journalism and will be graduating in the next five weeks with a Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education, with a focus on English Language Arts. My academic background has given me a strong foundation in writing, communication, and literacy instruction, along with hands-on classroom experience.

I have worked with a wide range of students across different grade levels, including pre-student teaching placements in 6th–8th grade, 11th grade, and 12th grade classrooms. I am currently completing my full-time student teaching placement with 12th grade students, where I design lessons, support student writing, and help prepare students for graduation-level expectations.

In addition, I have experience tutoring students working toward their GED, helping them strengthen their reading, writing, and test-taking skills. This has given me the ability to meet students where they are and support a variety of learning needs and backgrounds.

My teaching style is patient, supportive, and highly individualized. I focus on creating a comfortable environment where students feel confident asking questions and working through challenges without pressure. For writing, I help students develop clear structure, strong arguments, and confidence in their voice. For reading, I focus on comprehension strategies that make complex texts more accessible. For GED and ESL learners, I emphasize clarity, step-by-step skill building, and real-world communication.

I work with middle school, high school, GED, and ESL students in English, essay writing, and reading comprehension, and I am committed to helping students build both skills and confidence.
