I am a certified mathematics teacher with 15 years of teaching experience in Michigan. I earned my degree in Mathematics and Education from Grand Valley State University and hold a Michigan teaching certification. Throughout my career, I have taught a variety of high school mathematics courses, including Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, and Trigonometry. My experience has allowed me to work with students of all ability levels, from those needing support with foundational skills to those pursuing advanced mathematical concepts.

For the past 15 years, I have taught primarily in a high school classroom setting and have extensive experience providing individualized instruction through one-on-one support and small-group interventions. I believe that every student learns differently, so I use a variety of teaching methods, including visual models, real-world applications, guided practice, and technology tools such as Desmos and graphing calculators. My goal is to help students not only solve problems correctly but also understand the reasoning behind the mathematics.

I am passionate about creating a positive, encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning from mistakes. I focus on building confidence, developing problem-solving skills, and making mathematics approachable and engaging. Whether a student needs help catching up, preparing for an exam, improving grades, or gaining confidence in math, I strive to provide personalized instruction that meets their individual needs and helps them achieve success.
