I also write a popular weekly Substack about poetry and popular culture that now has grown to thousands of subscribers. Writing is deeply intertwined with the fabric of my life.
I have taught at universities, summer camps, K-12 classrooms, and elsewhere. My students have ranged in age from 6 years to older adults. Through all my teaching experiences, I aim to dispel harmful myths about what good writing is and who its for. I make learning about writing and literature fun and engaging while also giving students the tools they need to succeed by standard metrics.
