I bring 18 years of teaching experience at the university level to my students. I began teaching in 2001 as a graduate student at Purdue University. After earning a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Creative Writing, Poetry, I joined the Humanities faculty at Lawrence Technological University in Southfield where I taught Composition, Creative Writing, and several types of Literature.

I hold numerous publication credits, including a book of poetry; a poetry ‘chapbook;’ and over 50 individual poems in academic and literary journals. My second poetry manuscript was a finalist for the University of Wisconsin’s Poetry Prize.

I am well-equipped to tutor all aspects of English, including grammar, literature, and writing. I love working one-on-one with students of many ages, and enjoy tailoring sessions to the student's unique learning style.

English can be an intimidating and difficult subject for many students. I am well-versed in teaching "math and science" students due to my employment at two universities with prominent Engineering programs. If you are "not an English person," don't hesitate to contact me. I look forward to discussing how I can help!

She is a great tutor! She really knows what to do when it comes to writing a Letter of Intent. I will definitely use her going forward with my classes for MFT.
