I've given instruction in several middle schools and high schools, and I have several years of tutoring and teaching experience.
My approach to tutoring is mostly unique for every student and situation. Preparing for a test includes preparation for content, but it also may include preparation for the style of questions. Likewise, writing a paper requires research of content and sources, but it may also require research into how the instructor grades assignments or what procedures they have in place. Social studies includes many dates and times along with facts and figures. Although all of these are important, I also approach vocabulary and long-term patterns with equal importance. No matter where the student is when it comes to knowledge or level of course, I will always come up with a unique plan to get them where they need to be.
