I graduated from Kettering University with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and a Master of Science in Engineering. After 23 years as an engineer in a variety of industries, I changed course and went back to school in 2016 and attended University of Notre Dame to get a Master of Science in Business Analytics. I have a strong passion for all things data analytics and learned R in graduate school where my cohort nickname became "R Guy". I have been an active user of R for over 2-1/2 years now and use R every day in my new role as a Data Analyst.
My favorite things to do in R are: data wrangling, web scraping, data structuring, data visualizations, basic statistical analysis, basic machine learning (classification, clustering, and regression)...and of course teach others!
I have previous teaching experience as a Teaching Assistant at Kettering University. I taught a senior-level Mechanical Engineering laboratory class with 15-20 students each school term while I was pursuing my Masters Degree in Engineering. I used R during my Master studies at Notre Dame and I also have real world experience using R in my job. I enjoy helping others learn new things.
