Hi! My name is Purva, and I am a junior studying Electrical Engineering at Michigan State University. I have always enjoyed helping students understand concepts that initially seem difficult or overwhelming, especially in math, science, and engineering. My academic background has given me a strong foundation in mathematics, physics, and electrical engineering, and I have learned how to break complicated topics into smaller and more manageable ideas.

My goal as a tutor is to help students become more confident and independent learners. I want students to leave a session not only knowing how to solve a particular problem, but understanding why the solution works and feeling more prepared to tackle the next problem on their own. I am happy to explain a concept in multiple ways until it clicks.

Electrical Engineering

I am a junior Electrical Engineering student at Michigan State University with a 3.9 GPA and a 4.0 in my circuits coursework. I have a strong foundation in circuit analysis, electronics, mathematics, physics, programming, and electrical engineering fundamentals, and I enjoy helping students understand challenging concepts step by step. Beyond my coursework, I have gained hands-on engineering experience through research, projects, and my internship at Texas Instruments. As a Space Power Electronics Validation Intern, I worked with analog and power electronics, designed evaluation boards, performed device validation, and analyzed experimental data using engineering tools. I can help students connect the concepts they learn in class to practical engineering applications while developing the problem-solving skills needed to work independently.
