I am a former Graduate Student Instructor at the University of Michigan, where I taught undergraduate courses in microeconomics and systematic thinking. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Michigan and a Master of Public Policy, with advanced coursework in quantitative analysis, program evaluation, and applied economics. My academic training emphasizes both theoretical understanding and practical application, particularly in economics, public policy, statistics, and analytical writing. I am currently continuing graduate-level study while working professionally in public administration.

As a Graduate Instructor, I led multiple discussion sections serving approximately 125 undergraduate students, including honors students. My responsibilities included explaining economic models, guiding students through problem sets, and supporting written assignments such as analytical essays and policy memos. I also provided extensive one-on-one and small-group tutoring during office hours, adapting explanations to different learning styles and levels of preparation. This experience required helping students build confidence with quantitative reasoning while developing clearer, more structured academic writing.

My teaching experience also includes tutoring English as a Second Language students during high school in one-on-one and small-group settings. Working with ESL learners helped me develop patience, clarity, and an ability to explain complex ideas in accessible language. That early experience continues to inform my tutoring approach today. I work with high school, undergraduate, and adult learners, focusing on structured explanations, step-by-step problem-solving, and reinforcing foundational understanding so students can apply concepts independently.

Bible Studies

Bible Studies

I have graduate-level training in Bible studies through seminary coursework focused on biblical hermeneutics, exegesis, and historical context. My experience includes close reading of biblical texts, basic use of original-language tools, and guiding interpretation that attends to genre, audience, and theological themes. I work with students seeking help understanding Scripture for academic courses, personal study, or structured discussion, emphasizing careful reading and evidence-based interpretation rather than devotional shortcuts. My approach helps students develop confidence in analyzing biblical passages clearly and responsibly.
Career Development

Career Development

I have professional experience supporting career development through my work in public administration, policy analysis, and higher education. My background includes helping students and early-career professionals think through career paths, prepare application materials, and translate academic skills into professional settings. I have experience advising on resumes, cover letters, interview preparation, and navigating transitions between education, public service, and related fields. My approach is practical and structured, focusing on clarity, realistic goal-setting, and aligning skills with career opportunities.
Econometrics

Econometrics

I have graduate-level training in econometrics and applied quantitative methods through my economics and public policy coursework at the University of Michigan. My background includes working extensively with regression analysis, statistical inference, and model interpretation in both academic and applied policy contexts. As a former Graduate Student Instructor, I supported students in understanding empirical methods, interpreting results, and applying econometric concepts to real-world data and research questions. I focus on helping students build intuition alongside technical skill so they can confidently work through problem sets and empirical projects.
Government & Politics

Government & Politics

I hold a Master of Public Policy from the University of Michigan, with graduate-level training in government, political institutions, and public policy analysis. My academic background includes extensive coursework in American government, constitutional law, political economy, and the policy-making process, and I have experience supporting high school and college students in these areas. I have worked with students on topics such as federalism, civil liberties, Congress, the presidency, and the Supreme Court, helping them apply concepts to current events and course assignments. My approach emphasizes clear explanations, analytical thinking, and building confidence with AP-style questions and political writing.
