I currently work as a certified kindergarten paraeducator, where I provide daily academic and emotional support to young learners. I passed the Michigan state ParaPro Assessment and am officially certified to assist in the classroom. I work one-on-one and in small groups with students, as well the entire class, on early reading, phonics, number sense, and basic math skills, while also supporting behavior, routines, and emotional regulation.

Before this role, I was a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for foster children, where I gained experience advocating for kids with a wide range of needs. This helped shape my trauma-aware, nurturing approach to supporting children’s growth—academically and emotionally.
While I’m not a certified teacher, I have hands-on classroom experience, a passion for helping kids feel safe and confident, and a heart for meeting each learner exactly where they are.
