I am an elementary teacher with over 13 years in education. I have taught both upper elementary students in middle school and lower elementary students. I received my master's degree in Reading and Literacy and I have an Early Childhood endorsement.
I have also taught summer school programs tutoring in both math and reading including technology sites. Summer school students ranged from K-4 thru 5-8.
In addition to this, I have also been a tutor for home-based students due to medical issues or other circumstances in which they could not attend school for a period of time.
I enjoy tutoring because it gives me the opportunity for one-on-one assistance in developing lessons that cater to a student's individual learning styles and needs.

I use a lot of hands-on manipulatives with a variety of strategies to teach to the varying intelligence of each student. I also like to incorporate technology into my math lessons to increase the interest of my students.

I have a master's degree in Reading and Literacy as well as various strategies I have learned over the years to increase my students reading needs using programs such as LLI.

I began my teaching career in Kindergarten, which lays the foundation of phonics skills. Thus, my toolbox of phonics lessons goes above and beyond teachers without early education experience.
