I earned my bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, which gave me a strong academic foundation in math, physics, engineering, and analytical problem solving. During college, I served as an Undergraduate Learning Assistant for multiple math courses, including College Algebra, Precalculus, Business Calculus, Calculus I, and Calculus II. In that role, I supported students as they worked through challenging concepts, explained problem-solving methods, and helped students strengthen their understanding of both foundational and advanced math topics.
My tutoring experience is especially focused on high school and college students. I am comfortable helping with algebra, geometry, precalculus, business calculus, Calculus I, Calculus II, SAT math, introductory physics, and introductory engineering topics. Depending on the course structure, I can also support select upper-level calculus or differential equations topics. My goal is to meet students where they are, whether they are catching up in class, preparing for an exam, working through homework, or trying to build a stronger foundation for future STEM courses.
My teaching style is patient, structured, and confidence-focused. I understand that students often struggle not because they are incapable, but because a concept has not yet been explained in a way that makes sense to them. When tutoring, I first try to understand where the student is getting stuck, then break the topic into smaller steps using examples, visuals, and guided practice. I do not simply give students answers. Instead, I help them build the reasoning skills needed to solve similar problems independently.
In addition to my academic and tutoring background, I now work professionally as an engineering Technical Program Manager, where I regularly use math, engineering judgment, and problem-solving skills in real-world technical projects. This allows me to connect classroom material to practical applications, especially in subjects like algebra, calculus, physics, and engineering.
