Bio

I am a UCLA Instructor teaching classes in Finance, Economics, and Mathematics.

I also am a UCLA graduate with a degree in Economics. I have been tutoring for the past six years in a variety of different subjects: Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology, Economics, Statistics, Physics, and Accounting. I have professional tutoring experience at the college level and have been specially trained to tutor both kids and adults (there is a big difference in tutoring methodology and success).

I private tutor for multiple grade school kids and help not only with their school subject, but coach them in college admissions. My students have drastically improved their grades since our tutoring sessions have began.

I am available for one-on-one tutoring as well as group tutoring. I am available for both online and in-person tutoring.

I specialize in problem-based learning where the tutoring session revolves solving problems in order to learn concepts through application instead of lecturing. I focus on errors students make in order to teach them how to avoid such errors in the future.

Meticulous teaching, Always made sure there were good notes written down for everything and made sure to send them to me afterwards if I needed them. He explained stuff better than my professor does and was very qualified for freshman micro.

Allen is am amazing tutor for Calculus! I struggled greatly with the subject and had to retake the class a number of times. As soon as I started tutoring with Allen, my understanding grew significantly. His explanations were also easy to understand and he was very patient with me. One thing I really liked is that at the end of each session, he had to explain all the problem we went over in detail and how I solved them so that I could reenforce all the topics we went over. I'd recommend Allen to anyone need additional help with Calculus! :)
