Teaching style
- I believe in teaching the whole person through a variety of techniques; i.e., aural, visual, musical, kinesthetic, and
cognitive instruction.
- I believe in a process of introduction, explanation, modeling, observing, reviewing, re-doing, and celebrating.
- I understand the difference between those with learning disabilities and those who are gifted - I enjoy working with both!
- I enjoy working with and for persons who range from 5 to 50 years of age.
- I believe in the value of differentiated instruction, personalized instruction, and the pursuit of selected interests in order to
stimulate study in "less interesting" areas of education.
- I am most comfortable in the arts and humanities, although elementary math is also a strong interest.
- I have taught math and reading to 2nd graders and literature to 8th graders (I have a great reading list!).
- I love diversity in the classroom; I love to interact with those who come from a difference culture than my own.
